Confident Faith

JOE MONK

Lead Pastor

As I sit at my kitchen table writing a series for next year on faith, I was struck by the task ahead of us as a church. Faith is going into the unknown with a confidence that God is already there. Abram was in Ur, the familiar place that he called home. It was comfortable and he was provided for. God enters his life and calls him to something greater in the unknown place. He had to make a choice. Does he stay in the familiar and comfortable, or does he step out in confidence in the God who is calling him?

In a few weeks we will launch a second campus in that place God is calling us. There is a group of brave souls who are leaving the comfortable and the known for a new place where God is working.  It is a step of faith for this group and I am excited to see what God does in them and through the in this new place. As a church we need to commit lift them up and lift the Holly Springs campus up on a daily basis. We need to be praying for those whose lives we have already connected with and pray for those who have not yet heard of this incredibly awesome God we serve.
